which is which?

I asked my mother how to tell the difference between a crocodile and an alligator. We found the answers from a library book.
This is a crocodile. It has a V-shaped snout which is narrower than an alligator's.
This is an alligator. Its snout is round like a U-shape. The upper jaw is wider than the lower jaw. That is why you can see the upper teeth when the mouth is closed.

Saturn

What is your favourite planet? I like Saturn because it has big rings around it. These rings have ice, small rocks and dust.

It is the 2nd largest planet after Jupiter. Saturn is made up of the gas hydrogen. It is very windy on this planet. The small core of Saturn has ice and rocks. While the Earth has only 1 moon orbiting around it, Saturn has 60 moons!

Sharks!

Do you kn0w that there are 375 kinds of Sharks?

This is a hammerhead shark. It looks wierd but its wide head with eyes on the sides are ideal for hunting.

I think I can swallow a shark if only it is the Spined Pygmy shark.
It has a glow-in-the-dark belly.

Jaws, the Great White shark is scary.
Its eyes roll back into the head when it bites its prey.

Meet the fastest shark...the Mako shark.
It can leap out of the water to catch prey.

This is a whale shark, the biggest shark.
I don't mind meeting a whale shark in the sea because they have tiny teeth for eating plankton, not me.

Quiz:
1) Is a shark a fish?
2) Do sharks have bones?

answer:
1) yes
2) No. They have soft cartilage like our nose tips. Cartilage helps sharks to twist, turn, move and bend like a gymnast.
